Where's the Career Development Center and when’s it open?

We are located in Room 126 of the Campus Life Office inside the Steinert Campus Center. Our hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday and evenings by appointment. We are open during most academic breaks unless the entire university is closed.

Who does the Career Development Center assist?

We work with all ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ students—any major, any class year, any campus. We also assist alumni, employers, .

What does the Career Development Center do?

We help students make informed decisions about majors and careers. We also assist with locating employment opportunities, finding hands-on experience and developing solid job search and interviewing skills.

Can the Career Center help in choosing a major?

Discovering your interests, personality style, values and skills may aid in choosing or clarifying a major. While we don't provide academic advising, we do offer resources for Self-Exploration or you can drop by our office to meet a career counselor.

Does the Career Center help with resumes and cover letters?

We have excellent online resources available to help you write a resume and cover letter. Once you have your resume and/or cover letter in hand, we can help by providing professional advice and personalized feedback. 

Are appointments necessary?

You are welcome to drop by the career center any time!  However, with an appointment, you can let your counselor know ahead of time where you need support, make the most of your time, and receive remarkable services. To schedule an appointment, simply send your request to career.services@fresno.edu or call (559) 453-2220.

Can the Career Center still help after graduation?

 is an online tool that helps you search for all types of jobs: on-campus employment, part/full-time jobs, internships, and graduate assistantships. To maximize available opportunities,  (freshmen to seniors and alumni welcome).

What is StandOut?

 is a video mock interviewing platform to help you practice and improve your interviewing skills. Use your ³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ login credentials to create your account.

Where can I find jobs and internships?
